Our Congregations
possess
a wide breadth and depth of gifts, skills, and experiences
which we use to fulfill our mission. We are warm,
down to earth, empathetic congregations who maintain
a sense of humor. Our members have a range of
educational backgrounds and work experiences some of
which include business owners, bookkeepers, teachers,
instrumentalists, historians, farmers, and retired preachers.
We are diverse in our approach to our faith ranging
from the traditional to the progressive. A number
of individuals are committed to the coordination, preparation,
and facilitation of our educational programs.
Members commit time and talents in the larger communities
of Schuyler County and Seneca County. Our vocal
and instrumental musical skills are diverse across all
ages. We have skills that are used for planning
and managing our budget and there are many talents that
contribute to the maintenance of all the facilities
and grounds. Fellowship is enhanced by the range
of cooking talents and kitchen skills and is supplemented
by the warm hospitality of the members. Our congregations
are great resources for our churches and are made up
of many volunteers who are willing to serve. We also
receive support from other members of the community.
Our stewardship extends beyond giving money as
congregations we willingly give of ourselves to our
churches, our communities, and strive to become better
stewards of God’s creation.
